Psychotherapy Approach
Dr. Bartlett’s theoretical orientation frames her understanding of you as a client, the therapeutic relationship, and the treatment process. Clinically trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, this theory plays a large role in how she practices. This orientation emphasizes the discovery of underlying sources of emotional distress. Since early experiences frame the way in which we operate in the world, Dr. Bartlett believes it is our task to understand and challenge that framework.

Other Treatment Strategies
For Dr. Bartlett, the path to emotional wellness is multi-faceted in nature. She incorporates both a long-term dynamic perspective with short-term, contemporary evidence-based treatment strategies for cognitive therapy and mindfulness training. Her approach combines insight-oriented work with goal-directed interventions. She encourages alternative techniques and lifestyle changes in conjunction with psychotherapy.
